The Rural Maryland Council proudly sponsors the J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake, hosting a private tent and food for registered guests. Held annually in Crisfield, the “Crab Capital of the World,” Tawes is a signature Maryland tradition featuring all-you-can-eat crabs, clams, and other Eastern Shore favorites. The event draws thousands – including elected officials, business leaders, and community members – for a festive day of food, networking, and celebration of Crisfield’s seafood heritage.
