Rural Maryland Council Awarded Community Partner of the Year Award

The Maryland Community Action Partnership organization held their annual conference on May 2, 2018. This year’s theme, “Strong Families, Strong Communities” provided a platform for learning and sharing the important work of human service, and the impact it has on families and communities. The Rural Maryland Council was awarded the “Community Partner of the Year Award in Recognition of Outstanding Dedication and Commitment to Maryland Community Action Agencies”. The Council’s Vice-Chair, Matthew Teffeau, Director of Government Relations for the Maryland Department of Agriculture, accepted the award on behalf of the Rural Maryland Council. The Council is proud to be a partner with an organization that is striving to making collaboration work across government, business, philanthropy, non-profit organisations and citizens to achieve significant and lasting social change.
