Fiscal Year 2014 Annual Report

2014 was an exciting year for the Rural Maryland Council!  We presented a new logo, URL and website, www.rural.maryland.gov .  We hosted the Rural Action Assembly with the State Office of Rural Health and the Maryland Rural Health Association.  We partnered with Volunteer Maryland in conducting information sessions around the State.  We also participated in the Eastern Shore Business Plan Competition and the InvestMaryland Business Plan challenge.  As part of the InvestMaryland Challenge, we offered a Rural Entrepreneur award of $15,000 in partnership with the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center (ESEC).  We distributed almost $190,000 in grants to rural-serving nonprofits …
