Health Enterprise Zones and Maryland Agricultural Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund Grants

Lt. Governor Brown announced the State’s first Health Enterprise Zones (HEZ) in five locations including two in rural areas: Greater Lexington Park in St. Mary’s County, and Dorchester and Caroline Counties. Community coalitions in each HEZ will receive grant funding to address health disparities.

We are thrilled that, of the five HEZ, two are rural.  Earlier this fiscal year, RMC awarded a MAERDAF grant to the MRHA to provide technical assistance to rural communities that were applying to the HEZ program.  We congratulate MRHA on their success!
