Taskforce for Rural Broadband Meeting on May 21, 2018

The Taskforce for Rural Broadband met on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Steppingstone Farm Museum in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The Taskforce reviewed and discussed the 2017 Taskforce Report and the bills supporting rural Broadband that were passed in the 2018 Legislative session. Our guest speakers included Mr. Bill Jorch, Government Relations and Research Manager, Maryland Municipal League (MML), Mr. Kevin Kinnally, Policy Associate, Maryland Association of Counties (MACo), Ms. Lisa McCabe, CTIA, and Mr. Michael White, Chief of Staff, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. The Taskforce also reviewed an outline for the 2018 Taskforce workplan and future dates to meet as a group. A live recording of the meeting can be viewed here.
